College Promise Summer Learning Series – Advancing Impact Through Compelling Communication

Building on insights from the recent College Promise Learning Community (CPLC): Advancing Impact through Compelling Communication, College Promise is thrilled to announce the launch of a four-part public webinar series open to the broader Promise field. The series will elevate key insights, tools, and promising practices to equip Promise leaders to more effectively communicate their impact, strengthen stakeholder engagement, and advance organizational sustainability.   • July 15 | 2-3PM EST: Effective Communication for Student Success, featuring Caitlin Anzelone, Director, MDRC Center for Applied Behavioral Science (CABS) | Register
    • In this session, participants will consider how organizations can use behavioral insights and student-centered design to improve student communication, outreach, and in turn, expand opportunity.
  • July 22 | 2-3PM EST: Fundamentals of Storytelling for Organizational Success, featuring Scott Carlson, author of Hacking College and Senior Writer at The Chronicle of Higher Education | Register
    • In this session, participants will hear first hand from Scott Carlson about his experience as a writer and communicator, and the key features of compelling stories and narratives that move diverse stakeholders to action. Participants will explore strategic approaches to storytelling, learn what makes a compelling story, and effective storytelling strategies for Promise leaders in the current context.
  • July 29 | 2-3PM EST: What Is the ROI on That? Evaluating and Communicating the Impact of Educational Outcomes | Register
    • In this session, participants will consider best practices to effectively communicate impact to move diverse audiences to action. Participants will reflect on how they measure/understand progress and impact, and learn simple ways to demonstrate and communicate “ROI” from an economic mobility and workforce development lens.
  • August 12 | 2-3PM EST: From Access to Shared Prosperity: How Promise Programs are Evolving & Strengthening their Stories to Demonstrate Impact | Register
    • As Promise programs are expanding their focus beyond completion with an eye on workforce outcomes and community value, this special session will provide a showcase of the ways that Promise programs are evolving & strengthening their stories to demonstrate and sustain impact in an evolving landscape.
