College Promise Introduces their Latest Playbook for Integrating Statewide College Promise Programs & Children’s Savings Accounts

In November 2021, College Promise published a playbook focused the significance of College Promise and Children’s Savings Account (CSAs) integration and shared best practices for successful integration models.

In the pursuit of integrating these initiatives on a larger scale, College Promise gathered the perspectives of  several key leaders to gain insight on what they believe can foster a more inclusive college-going culture in their respective states. This year’s latest iteration, Building Assets & Aspirations: A Playbook for Integrating Statewide College Promise (CP) Programs & Children’s Savings Accounts (CSAs) highlights the pioneering work of the California Child Savings Coalition and the Northern California College Promise Coalition, the Keystone Scholars Program in Pennsylvania, and the Alfond Scholarship Foundation in Maine,  in addition to steps that savings initiatives can take to amplify their bearing.

College Promise and Children’s Savings Accounts (CSAs) have a common goal to expand access to postsecondary education and help students earn certificates and degrees. In an ever changing society where the cost of postsecondary education continues to rise, there has been a growing interest in CSAs which has emphasized the need for collaboration between Promise programs and savings initiatives. In August of 2023, College Promise will host a webinar to review the playbook and delve into the integration of these initiatives while exploring the benefits and strategies for aligning College Promise programs and CSAs in the pursuit of higher education. Our panel of experts will provide insight on their case studies, research, and innovative approaches. More information on this event is coming soon.
